The Aims of Tread The Boards Youth Music Theatre
 
Hours: Rehearsals: Sunday afternoons/evenings, Monday and Wednesday evenings.
   
Notes: AIMS: To provide a permanent Youth Music Theatre in Dundee and the surrounding area. To encourage participation in musical theatre productions amongst youngsters aged 8+ male or female in the region — participation in theatre work is of great benefit to the development and education of children in improving their confidence and general social skills.  Develop the creative skills of young people through the craft of theatre and encourage them to work together as a community and, in so doing, experience the practical workings of theatre while respecting its skills and disciplines. To promote entertainment throughout Tayside in the form of concerts and to present major musical theatre productions in Dundee.

OTHER INFO: The Society was established in May 2002 and presented a musical revue in November of that year in the Gardyne Theatre, Dundee. Thereafter it is planned to present a pantomime in January and musical productions in May and September.
